Questions Before You Sit Down at the Bench
Grouped by where they come up — before booking, during a session, and once the clubs are actually in your hands.
Before You Book
Is this only useful for low-handicap players?
The opposite, usually. A golfer still working on consistency has less margin to absorb a lie angle that's off by a couple of degrees, so the correction tends to show up faster in their scores.
What should I bring with me?
Whichever clubs you want checked, the shoes you'd normally wear on a course, and a general idea of where you usually play — that's really all we need to start.
Can you fit a left-handed golfer?
Absolutely. The gauge bench doesn't care which way the club faces, and our demo wall keeps a full left-handed lineup stocked alongside the right-handed inventory.
Where do most of your clients come from?
Bellingham proper accounts for the majority, but we see a steady stream from Ferndale, Lynden, and golfers making the trip down from the San Juan Islands.
During a Session
How much time should I set aside?
Plan on an hour for any single club. Iron sets run closer to ninety minutes, and if you're booking the full bag assessment, block off a half-day to be safe.
What does the dynamic check actually involve?
Tape goes on the face, you swing normally, and a lie board plus motion capture record where loft and lie land the instant you make contact — then we set that number against what the bench showed.
Why not just hit a few demos and go with what feels best?
Feel is a poor recordkeeper. Two clubs can feel nearly identical mid-swing and still produce a five-yard gap in carry, which only shows up once the numbers are actually logged.
After Your Fitting
Am I required to purchase anything?
Never. Walk out with the written spec either way. If you do decide to build, whatever you already paid for the session gets subtracted from the total.
How soon can I pick up a finished build?
Typically within a week. Components stay in stock and bending happens on-site, so there's no outside vendor holding up the timeline.
What if something needs to be tweaked after I've had the clubs a while?
Bring them back within thirty days and we'll adjust loft, lie, or length at no charge while you're still getting used to the new spec.
